Summer reads that you won't put down
We reached out to our favorite twin sister duo over at (Love)less is More to find out what their top summer reads were. Though their tastes aren’t always the same, one thing is for sure - their favorites are certainly packed with FEMPOWER.
Let's see what Lauren and Lindsey have to say:
One of my New Year’s resolutions was to read more books. Of course, right? But, I am pretty picky when it comes to reading books. Lately I have been studying A LOT, so I really haven’t had the chance to just read for fun. Now that I have PASSED my tests (WHOOP), I’m trying to read more often. I know it is already July, but better late than never, right? When it comes to the types of books I like to read, I prefer to read inspirational books. Now, I’m not talking “self help” books, but I am referring to books that will either teach you something or will provide you with tips to live a better life. I sound like such a NERD, but I always like to learn new things.
Adventures for Your Soul by Shannon Kaiser provides you with 21 ways to transform your habits and reach your full potential. This book is a guide to help you achieve your goals, remove self-sabotaging patterns, say yes to life, and much much more! Each chapter of this book talks about different ways to live your happiest life and how to stop letting different things hinder you from achieving your goals, loving yourself completely and chasing your dreams. Throughout this book, Shannon Kaiser provides questions and activities that help you understand what is holding you back from achieving your goals and living out your dream. It is essentially a roadmap to your transformation.
I would recommend this book to anyone – it is so inspirational!
Lindsey and I share the same love for inspirational books. I’m not much of a reader (or even a reader at all), but inspirational books have my heart. My most recent favorite is Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. This book helps women live with passion and hustle and to awaken their goals. Girl Wash Your Face has changed my outlook on my life and how I live it. It has helped me break free of all the “lies” I use to tell myself and help me live the life I want to live! I recommend getting this book as SOON as you can!
